National Council President Nikolić meets representatives of CICCPS

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting today with representatives of the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS), headed by Mr. Sun Yanyun.

“The main reason I have re-visited Serbia is to deepen mutual cooperation in areas of economy and culture. Serbia has the crucial role in China’s “One Belt One Road” initiative. We wish to develop our cultural, tourist and economic ties through concrete projects, since Serbia possesses huge potential which we want to show to the Chinese people. Three months have passed since our last meeting; in the intervening period, we had talks with representatives of major Chinese companies, members of CICCPS, and we decided to propose the establishment of a Serbia-based centre tasked with economic, cultural and tourist exchange, in order to establish the best possible communication with Serbia’s competent authorities. Our Chamber is strongly endorsed by the Government of China in our intention to further develop collaboration with Serbia”, CICCPS President underscored.

“I support your entrepreneurs’ initiative to invest in Serbia’s infrastructure, transport, energy and tourism, as well as the fact that they are encouraging the advancement of cultural ties between our nations. The “One Belt One Road” initiative is a chance at Europe’s, Serbia’s, and of course China’s development. Serbia is open to all investors and we are ready to offer the most favourable conditions, as this is the official policy of Serbia’s Government. In Serbia, China’s initiatives and proposals will be met with utmost friendship and understanding”, Council President Nikolić underlined.
