President Xi Jinping: I attach special attention to development of China-Serbia relations and I appreciate our good working relationship and personal friendship we have cherished for years

Former President of the Republic of Serbia and the incumbent President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić received a letter from China’s President Xi Jinping. The letter reads as follows:

“Mr. President, dear long-time friend of mine,

Allow me to thank you for the congratulatory letter you addressed to me on the occasion of my re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China.

During your term-of-office as President of the Republic of Serbia, you made a marked contribution to the preparation and development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and Serbia. Ever since the assumption of duties as President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the People’s Republic of China, you have been extending the boundaries of the friendship and cooperation existing between our two countries, which I hold in high regard. I attach special attention to the development of the Sino-Serbian relations, and I appreciate our good working relationship and the personal friendship we have cherished for years. I trust and believe that the National Coordination Council for China will continue to encourage the all-round practical cooperation between China and Serbia, to the greater benefit of both countries and peoples. I wish you good health and every success in your endeavours”, reads the letter signed by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
