National Council President meets Russia’s Ambassador Chepurin
Both countries have to invest efforts in order to increase the presence of Russian companies and investors in the Serbian market
President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Chepurin about the forthcoming meeting with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Co-Chair of the Serbia-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Dmitry Rogozin.

In the meeting, Russia’s Ambassador Chepurin and Council President Nikolić discussed the past cooperation and models for improving the future economic cooperation between Serbia and Russia. The two interlocutors noted that both countries had to invest efforts in order to increase the presence of Russian companies and investors in the Serbian market, on the basis of economic justifiability. Mr. Nikolić underscored that he would also use the meeting with Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister to discuss the launch of concrete projects in the field of technological innovations and in other areas where it was possible to promote the two countries’ economic cooperation in line with the Serbia-Russia Strategic Partnership Declaration.
Council President Nikolić will be paying a working visit to Moscow on Monday, 16 April 2018, where he will have a meeting with Mr. Dmitry Rogozin.
