Remarks by National Council President Nikolić at the opening of Chinese products trade show

“Your Excellencies,

Ladies and gentlemen,

Today I feel honoured and happy. I feel privileged for being given the opportunity to attend this fair. I am pleased that decades of my efforts aimed at Serbia’s collaboration with the People’s Republic of China are increasingly coming to fruition. I was lucky to be the President of Serbia at the time when President of China Xi Jinping unveiled his lifeline “One Belt One Road” initiative. We have signed two interstate agreements, one being the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, and Serbia was lucky that President Xi Jinping focused all his attention on it when reflecting upon Europe. This trade show is an opportunity for Serbia to get to know better the manufacturers from Zhejiang, for this Province’s motto is to produce everything it needs, but if you only engage in trade in Serbia you cannot make much profit. Therefore, I invite you to invest in the manufacturing sector, in order for us to have joint products to be sold at almost all world markets open to goods made in Serbia. May you have a successful fair!”
