Council President Nikolić talks to top Fujian leadership and representatives of the Province’s major companies

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić had a meeting with Mr. Yu Weiguo, the Communist Party Secretary General for Fujian.

In the talks, the collocutors exchanged views about global politics and its impact on Serbia-China relations.

Mr. Yu Weiguo, who is the Communist Party Secretary General for Fujian, thanked Council President Nikolić for his huge contribution to the “friendship made of steel” between Serbia and China. He thanked him in particular for the assistance and coordination of activities related to the MSC Bor acquisition by Zijin, carried out transparently and in a record short period of time.

The two interlocutors concluded that it was very important for the “Belt and Road” initiative to encourage as many Fujian-based companies as possible to follow in the footsteps of Zijin when coming to Serbia, to work on infrastructural and other projects, and to help Serbian companies to appear on the Fujian market.

During his stay in Fujian, Council President Nikolić talked to the most senior representatives of major Fujian companies including: Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd., Fujian State-owned Assets Management Co. Ltd., Fujian Energy Group Co. Ltd., Fujian Provincial Transportation Group Co. Ltd., Fujian Motor Group, Fujian Construction Engineering Group Co. Ltd., Fujian Investment & Development Group Co. Ltd., Fujian Electronics & Information Group Co. Ltd., Zhongmin Energy Co. Ltd., Fujian Cereals, Oil & Foodstuffs I/E Group Co. Ltd., Fujian Ganghang Construction & Development Co. Ltd., Nanping Taiyang Cable Co. Ltd.
