Council President Nikolić to participate in the Second Belt and Road Forum in Beijing

At the invitation of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić will participate in the Second Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, to be held between 23 and 26 April.

On day one of his visit, Mr. Nikolić will inaugurate a business forum on investment projects in Serbia, to host Chinese companies operating in areas of infrastructure, energy, transport, agriculture, including, among others: Power China SEDC, Zijin, TBEA, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co. Ltd., Beiqi Foton Motor Co. Ltd., China National Technical Import and Export Corporation, Beijing Public Tram Co. Ltd., Power China Hubei Engineering Co. Ltd., China Railway Material Group Co. Ltd., CHN Energy Technology & Environment Group (HK) Co. Ltd., China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), China Machinery Engineering Corporation, Shandong Heavy Industry Group, China Light Resources Import and Export Corporation, China Fortune Land Development, China Petroleum Engineering & Consulting Corporation.

Council President Nikolić is also scheduled to meet top management of the following Chinese companies: China Gezhouba Group Co. Ltd., TBEA, POWERCHINA and Wison, to discuss opportunities available for the implementation of Chinese projects in Serbia.

During his visit to Beijing, Council President Nikolić will tour Sunlon Food Group and Sinopharm.

In the context of the Second Belt and Road Forum, Mr. Nikolić will also be a member of the Serbian delegation to be received by President Xi Jinping, while National Council Member Ivan Mrkić will lead the Serbian delegation to the Thematic Forum on Political Connectivity.
