Council President Nikolić tours China’s Sunlon Group

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić toured China’s Sunlon Group.

In the talks, Chairman Wang Guofeng provided Council President Nikolić with a detailed overview of the company’s operations, underlining its China-wide leadership position in agricultural production, processing and sales, and in animal husbandry. “Today, China’s Sunlon Group is a byword for innovation in food industry, processing and trade, with an annual profit of USD 13 billion. The company owns 10 firms outside of China and has three major science and research centres. Moreover, it works together with 11 international companies and has a range of more than 600 products. Sunlon Group is among 500 top companies in China, with head offices located in Beijing, building a positive image about Beijing in the area of agriculture and food industry”, Mr. Guofeng emphasized.

Council President Nikolić introduced the company’s Chairman to the conditions existing in Serbia for food production. “Serbia boasts a good climate and fertile soil, especially in Vojvodina, where we have enormous swathes of state-owned land, which can be subject to a long-term lease. Top-quality milk and prime meats and fruits can be produced in Serbia”, Mr. Nikolić highlighted, calling on the Chinese company to engage in joint cooperation and underlining the success of previous Chinese investments.
