“We had very useful talks in Beijing at the Second Belt and Road Forum in the presence of Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antić. Serbia offers opportunities for the successful implementation of gas-fired TPP project in Kragujevac, among other cities. The project is not a complicated one for TBEA in technical terms, while the model for TBEA-Serbia cooperation, technical and technological solutions and the method of financing should be worked out as a result of common analysis. Both Serbia and China wish to do everything in their power to minimize the environmental impact. In each of the projects carried out in tandem with Chinese companies, Serbia wants to secure mutual interest, and I think that this one is such project. Serbia needs companies that are able to work on their own, and not intermediaries”, Council President Nikolić underlined.
TBEA Vice President Yin Xianfeng agreed with Mr. Nikolić over the success of the talks they recently had in Beijing. “TBEA has built many gas-fired thermal power plants in China and there are no technical or technological obstacles standing in the way of the construction. Our company fully supports the Government of Serbia with regard to construction of gas-fired power plants in this country. In order to implement this project with success, it is necessary to form a task force composed of both TBEA and Serbian Government representatives, who as experts will make a detailed project efficiency analysis from the viewpoint of gas supply and selling of hot water and electric power”, Mr. Yin Xianfeng underlined.
