Tomislav Nikolić raises a donation for dwellers of China’s Hubei Province

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić has raised a financial donation for the procurement of equipment and supplies necessary in the fight against COVID-19. All the procured equipment will be distributed to the dwellers of Hubei free of charge. The donation was presented at the offices of the Council to Tong Xin of Sinopharm, in the presence of Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Chen Bo.

On behalf of the people of China, Ambassador Chen Bo thanked Mr. Nikolić for his assistance, calling him a great friend of China. She underscored that the Sino-Serbian friendship was made of steel, adding that Serbia had stood by China from the onset of the coronavirus epidemic.

Nikolić said that China fought for the entire mankind and that the symbolic donation could serve as an incentive for everyone to help more generously and to allocate larger funds for China, the eternal friend of Serbia, and for its brave and great nation, and that he would try to collect more donations. Mr. Nikolić stressed that in addition to the donation that he had raised, the National Council also participated in different activities that the Government of Serbia had undertaken to help China.
