Council President Nikolić in meeting with representatives of China’s Haitian Group

President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić talked today to the representatives of China’s Haitian Group, headed by the company’s Regional Director Mr. Sun Yiming.

“By collaborating with Serbia, China has demonstrated to the world that it can have good cooperation with a state in Europe. Technology-wise, Serbia was lagging behind and it is for this reason that collaboration with Chinese companies is very important. It is the development of China’s private sector that enabled its major leap forward. The fact that the Haitian Group manufactures 50 000 CNC machines annually is highly impressive. This manufacturing scale is huge even in the context of the Chinese demand; to put it into perspective, the company’s output could supply the global market. I am pleased by the fact that Serbia and China have moved to a higher level of cooperation – the construction of common facilities. I wish you every success in your business operations in Serbia; your company will be met with full cooperation and support at the National Council,” Mr. Nikolić said.

On behalf of the Haitian Group, Mr. Sun Yiming thanked Council President Nikolić for the meeting. “We are deeply impressed by the readiness of the Serbian Government representatives to cooperate with our company. In our opinion, the decision of the Haitian Group to invest in Serbia is absolutely right. The company was founded in China more than 50 years ago and it currently has branches in 9 states around the globe, and the Serbian representative office will be the biggest abroad. In China, the Haitian Group has more than 10 000 employees and over 100 000 workers on the factory floor. We operate in five portfolios, including the plastic injection moulding machines, CNC machines and moulds. When it comes to injection moulding machines, we are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. As professional equipment manufacturers, we hope to provide excellent service to Serbia, and not just a mere product. We believe that the plastic injection moulding machines and CNC machines are very important for Serbia. We hope that our company’s investments in Serbia will lead to mutual progress and development,” the Regional Director of China’s Haitian Group underlined.
